What is Carbon-Kevlar?

A hybrid composite utilizing traditional carbon fiber for stiffness and Kevlar (Aramid) fibers for impact resistance. Kevlar is naturally a pale yellow fiber. In automotive use, these are often dyed and encased in a clear epoxy resin. Unlike pure carbon, the Aramid fibers in Kevlar are exceptionally sensitive to photo-degradation from sunlight.

Professional Cleaning Method

  1. Initial Clean: Decontaminate with Quick Wash (Blue) to remove grit.
  2. Chemical Wipe: Use Vinyl Wrap Detailer (Yellow) for a safe, streak-free surface.
  3. UV Armor: Apply Ceramic Carbon Guard (Tangerine) to prevent fiber fading.
  4. Top Coat: Mist with Graphene Detailer (Pink) to provide a high-lubricity barrier against road debris.

Common Vulnerabilities

  • Kevlar "Bleaching": High UV exposure turns yellow Kevlar white or brown.
  • Resin Cracking: Kevlar expands at a different rate than carbon, leading to micro-cracks in the resin over time.
  • UV Scorch: Dyed fibers can lose color if not shielded by a ceramic barrier.
