Why This Process Matters

Carbon fiber is the crown jewel of any build, but its resin-based clear coat is thinner and more sensitive than traditional automotive paint. This guide covers the "Preservation First" method: removing contaminants without abrasion and deploying a chemical shield against UV-induced yellowing and clouding.

Required Tools

  • Pressure Washer
  • Foam Cannon
  • Two Wash Buckets
  • Microfiber Wash Mitt
  • High-GSM Drying Towel
  • Microfiber Applicator Pad

Execution Steps

1. Decontamination Rinse: Use a pressure washer to remove loose grit. Never "dry wipe" carbon fiber.

2. pH-Neutral Lubrication: Apply Ultra Wash Ceramic Soap via foam cannon. Let it dwell for 2-3 minutes to encapsulate dirt.

3. The Ultra-Soft Wash: Using a clean microfiber mitt and the two-bucket method, gently glide over the weave. Do not apply heavy pressure.

4. Dry & Inspect: Use a high-GSM drying towel to pat the surface dry, preventing water spot minerals from bonding.

5. Apply Carbon Guard: Apply Ceramic Carbon Guard to a microfiber applicator and wipe onto the surface. Let it cure to create a dedicated UV-blocking shield.
