For Carbon Fiber, UV rays penetrate the clear resin, causing a chemical breakdown that results in a yellow, cloudy, or "hazy" appearance. For Vinyl Wraps, UV exposure dries out the plasticizers in the film, leading to color fading, cracking, and a loss of the original matte or gloss finish. Once resin yellowing occurs, it is often permanent, making prevention the only viable strategy.
